If you are looking for a relaxed & safe holiday on a small/medium sized camping & touring park, our family run campsite could be just what you are looking for. We take great pride in our campsite, which has got a personal touch to it and boasts some quality facilities you would not normally find on a campsite of this size; our on-site Bar & Family room offer great facilities for some evening relaxation. We cater for both families and couples.

Pitches

Camping Caradon Touring Park is 3.5 acres of level ground with very easy access “directions”. We offer 73 flat grass pitches for Camping & Touring, all pitches are pegged out and all have the availability of “16 amp” hook-ups and free Wi-Fi.

22 pitches available with Integra Hardstandings for Motorhomes and caravans to park on.
The Integra Hardstandings are (3″ Deep interlocking  Recycled plastic squares, dug in the ground with grass growing  through) can be reserved if available at no extra cost. Our ground drains really well, and we never have problems with flooding as we are on higher/level ground.

Hire of RCD-leads available at £2.00pn. Electric hook up leads for Tents and Camper vans. “RCD-Leads are applicable to health & Safety”

Motorhome service point. Drive on service point for waste dumping and water refill.

Chemical toilet waste “under cover” by end of Amenity block.

4 water points. 1 in the park and 3 around the Amenity block.

4 drainage points for grey water. 1 in the park and 3 around the Amenity block.

Amenity Block

Ladies and Gents. Entrance from either side of the Amenity Block. Ample showers and toilets provided.

Two Family/Disabled rooms, both entrance on end of the facility block.

Free hot showers. (no coins or push button showers)

Amenity block has central heating on a timer in the colder months.

Hair dryer 20p (ladies), Shaving point (mens)

Laundry room with Ironing facilities, 2 x Washing machines and 2 x Tumble dryers. £3.00 for a wash.

Disabled/Family bathrooms

Our two Disabled/Family rooms are brilliant for families/single parent with young children & for
less abled people. Both rooms are built to Building Specification required for wheelchair users. Both rooms are wheelchair and buggie accessible on level ground.
They both offer shower seats with arm rests, electric shower with hand held shower head with high & low water flow & spray.
Both rooms offer changing board, baby bath & wall mounted toddler seat.

GREEN NOTE!
Collected rain water! from the roof of the amenity block flushes the toilets. (Switches automatic to mains water if necessary). Solar panels help heat the water up on sunny days, if the sun fails us, our energy efficient Worcester boiler keeps the water warm at all times. We use Environmentally friendly Hand Soap & Cleaning Products in our facilities. ECO-Cubes used in all urinals. Toilet paper used in our facilities; “ECO Soft” is made from 100% recycled materials.

Reception/Shop

Here we welcome you to Camping Caradon Touring Park.

In our Display area, you will find info and leaflets on most attractions/events in both our local area and the rest of Cornwall, we are in a perfect location for exploring Cornwall. Browse our web-site for things to do and places to visit before your holiday.

We provide a local map for walks in the Looe & Polperro area, and bus time tables for the bus stop in our site-entrance to/from Looe & Polperro.

Our aim is for all our campers to have a great stay at our Campsite and to discover some of all the magical places there is to see close by, and in the rest of Cornwall, we are always available with help and information.
Our free Wi-Fi is also very useful to our campers to check out more information and opening times by their pitch on some of the many events and attractions before visiting.
For crabbing and rock-pooling you want the local tide-times

Eden Tickets Avoid queuing, purchase fast track tickets to the Eden Project in our reception. 15% cheaper than the walk-up price at Eden.

In our Shop we stock most essential foods such as; Cornish Milk, egg, bread, sausages and bacon (Meat sourced from our local butcher 1.5miles away in Pelynt) etc. Camping gas, toys and a range of camping & caravanning equipment.

Calor Gas bottles exchange; available all year.

Freezing of Ice-blocks; £2.50 for your whole stay.

Shop open Easter – end of September from 9am and over our New Year Festivities. The Shop is not open from October – Easter. 

Barrier

Barrier into park (operated by code), situated by entrance just after the Shop/Reception.

Non operational in “quiet hours” 11pm. – 7am.

No vehicle movement in “quiet hours” vehicles must be parked in front of the Shop/Reception.

Bar and Family Room

Our friendly on-site Bar & Family room offer great facilities for some evening relaxation for both families and couples. Just what’s needed after a long day out & about.

We serve a selection of draught beer including  Cornish Tribute Ale & Korev Lager from St Austell Brewery. Cornish Scrumpy and Rattler from the Cornish Ciderfarm. Original Cornish Rattler served on draught.

Other draught beer served; Carlsberg Lager, Carlsberg Export Larger & Guinness Surger.

Our Spirit selection includes some local specialties; Rum “Dead Man’s Fingers”, Plymouth Gin, Tarquin’s Dry Gin and Cornish Single Malt.

We serve freshly ground bean coffee and the popular locally blended Cornish Tea “Smugglers Brew”.

Relax with a game of darts, try to resolve some of our tricky bar games or just chill out with a read in our comfy chairs.

In the Family Room you will find Games, darts, table- tennis, TV, Playstation “PS2” & a Pool table (£1.00). A selection of children’s toys for the younger children. High chairs available.

Visit our 50p book library in the Family room (Donations go to the NRLI “Royal National Lifeboat Institute”). We are very grateful for any book donations for the library.

New Year Festivities At Camping Caradon
We celebrate New year in Style; Great Chefs Buffet followed by music and fireworks at midnight. min. 3 night booking. Its Advisable to book early, due to popularity. Further info & Prices for new Year.

The Bar & Family Room is open: Evenings from Easter – end of September. Bar is open weekends in winter.

EVENING MEALS
Bar Food available during the peak times in the park.
Quality home cooked Take-Away from last week in July until the end of August, when the Bar is open the Take-Away food can be consumed in our bar and family room with a drink.
– Bar Meals served 28th Dec till 1st of January over our New Year festivities.

At Camping Caradon we pride ourselves with serving quality home-cooked food both for evening meals and our take-away food. We strive to use local produce and suppliers.

Games Room

Browse through some of all our leaflets, or look through all the posters and information displayed on the walls in the games room.

Also take time out to read info and posters on our “educational wall”

The older children like to socialize in the games room. Pool table (£1.00), football table (50p).

PlayStation “PS2” (free) bring your own games or borrow ours.

The Games Room & Leaflet area is open daily from 9am – 7pm.  Easter – end of September.

Playground

Playground for the 2 – 11 year old’s, with swings, toddler bucket, slide, climbing wall, rope and step ladder.

take a view out on the park from the castle through the periscope or binoculars or take control by the ship`s wheel.

There are plenty of seats and benches for the adults to sit and relax, while the young ones are enjoying them selves.
